Brutal Gang Rape and Murder of minority Hindu family members traumatized the local Hindus of Bagherhat, Bangladesh 

An Investigative report from HRCBM

I along with Advocate Jagadish Chandra Sarkar, Prof. Ashoke Taru Saha of HRCBM, Dhaka and also two others from Hindu community visited the place of occurrence on 14th March, 2003 at Komarpur, Thakurbari, Bagerhat where Tapan Bhattacharjee was brutally killed and three women were gang-raped by terrorists on 9th March,2003 on the basis of horrific news published in different dailies in Bangladesh. We also got three more incident of repressions on Hindus ,one is in Sultanpur village another is in Fatepur village and another is in Bishnupur village within Bagerhat district after reaching at Bagerhat “Ramkrishna Mission” which was not published in the dailies.

We started for Bagerhat from Dhaka by bus on 13th of March,2003 at about 9 p.m. and reached at Bagerhat in the next morning on 14th March,2003 and met with the “Maharaj” of Ramkrishna Mission at Bagerhat who apprised us the overall situation of Bagerhat and before proceeding towards Komarpur,Thakurbari we talked with the Supdt.of Police, and Deputy Commissioner Bagerhat to know the situation. We went to Md.Ishaque Dudu @ (Dhuku) Officer-in-Charge of Bagerhat Sadar police station and recorded his statements. We requested the O.C. Bagerhat to co-operate us helping mete out justice to the victims. We also requested him to supply us copies of complaint filed by the victims and he gave us two copies of F.I.R.(First information report) filed by one Prof.Sarbajit Chakravorty of Sultanpur village who was attacked by some unknown terrorists and another from Md.Badsha Meah, S.I. of police, Bagerhat Sadar P.S. on behalf of  Deb Das Samaddar of  Fatepur village whose dwelling house was burnt by some terrorists... more.....

Brutal Gang rape of a minority Girl in Shibalaya, Manikganj
HRCBM-Dhaka has visited the place of occurrence at Akua within Shibalaya police station where one minor girl Shilpi Rani Chakravorty (17) daughter of Shymal Chakravorty was gang raped by the local rapists on 27th April, 2003.
On the way to Faridpur I reached at Shibalaya police station at Manikganj District at about 12-30 p.m. and found Sub-Inspector, Md. Zahid Hossaina of the said police station and we have been ..... more..
Indigenous "Adhibashi" Hindus are attacked in Faridpur
I, Advocate Rabindra Ghosh on behalf of HRCBM, Dhaka visited Kanaipur (Malanga) Faridpur Sadar on 15th and 16th of May, 03 10 kilometers from Faridpur town where a good number of Hindu Adhibashis residing at “Adhibashi Pally” have been attacked by some terrorists and as a result 26 dwelling houses including family “Goddess Jagatbandhu Mahaprakash Math” and Manasha Images in a Manasha Mandir were destroyed and some women have been molested on 7th May,03..more..

Attacks on minorities at Mirzapur: three including a pregnant women wounded

 It is that I know what the pain could be! It is passionate pain! Hundreds of pregnant minority women feel that despair that broke their hearts.
Justice never been serve to them and perhaps never will be.
She lost the sign of her love, the child, the fetus of her own blood and flesh. The picture shows broken heart Sabita Rani Sarkar is under treatment at the local hospital. Sabita is speechless, wounds of her body though yet to cure but the scratch on the heart will never be..!! .....more.....   

Gruesome attacks on minority men and women at Gazipur

On 28th of March,2003 at about 10-30 a.m. I, Advocate Rabindra Ghosh and Prof. Ashoke Taru of HRCBM-Dhaka rushed to Dhaka Medical College Hospital to see Deepak Mallick, a wounded victim being treated after an outrageous attack by the terrorists on 24th March, 2003 at his village home "Degoliar Teck" on the basis of horrific news published in different dailies in Bangladesh.
